v2 - latest fix
- Fixed
Ctrl+Cexit handling so the Bash wrapper reliably changes to the directory where TUI was closed, including when Bashset -eis enabled. - Action commands are evaluated as complete Bash commands, so
&&and||chains work as they do directly in the terminal. - Updated the example ZIP action to demonstrate success/failure prompts with
&&/||.
Changelog
v2.1
- Made the installer compatible with minimal Calculinux environments by replacing
install -mwithcpfollowed bychmod.
Current
- Bash shell integration is installed automatically through
~/.bashrc. - Multi-command actions execute as one TUI handoff; TUI is not redrawn between commands.
- Each generated command is added to Bash history.
- Failed commands stop the current action and pause on a
readbefore TUI resumes. - Marks are stored as absolute paths and survive directory changes.
- Returning to a directory shows its previously marked entries again.
- Moving marked entries uses the current TUI directory as the destination.
.tuilookup is limited to the user's home directory.
Unreleased
- Hidden files and directories are hidden by default; use
tui -a/tui --allto show them. - Added a synthetic parent-directory entry at the top of every listing.
- Left arrow moves the cursor to the parent entry; pressing left again moves to the parent directory.
- Navigation is limited to the directory containing the applicable
.tuifile. - Added
ls --color-style colors for directories, symlinks, executables, archives and common image files. - Marked paths remain visible as marked when returning to their directory.
v2 – cursor and block selection update
- Cursor can now move to the empty line immediately below the last object.
Ctrl+K Know behaves like joe: the block end is the row immediately above the cursor.- On the bottom empty line,
Ctrl+K Ktherefore selects through the last object.
v2 update
- The bottom empty row now visibly shows the cursor.
- When TUI exits normally, the shell integration changes the parent Bash shell to the directory where TUI was closed.
